St. Lawrence University: Conservation Biology
Conservation Biology at SLU (Spring 2006) was a course that covered numerous topics including biodioversity threats such as habitat loss and fragmentation, invasive species, conservation genetics, over-exploitation etc. Labs included visits to a windfarm and maple sugar grove, salamander experiments in silviculture treatments in the Adirondacks, meetings with the local land trust members, and guest lectures from local conservation researchers.
